Annual Exhibitions

Exhibition 2012:

The 2012 Canberra Quilters Inc. Exhibition is on 9 to 12 August at Exhibition Park in Canberra, as part of the Craft and Quilt Fair.

Batik Rhapsody designed and made by Canberra Quilters Elizabeth Rose and Janet Cruise, quilted by Canberra Quilter, Jenny Bowker This year's Raffle prizes are as follows:
  • Batik Rhapsody, designed and made by Canberra Quilters Elizabeth Rose and Janet Cruise, quilted by Canberra Quilter Jenny Bowker, valued at $2750.
  • Bernina 700D Overlocker, valued at $799.
  • 'Kingfisher' 65in x 65in Design Wall from Brindabella Quilting Systems, valued at $240.
The holder of the first drawn ticket has choice of prize. The holder of the second drawn ticket has choice between the two remaining prizes.

Raffle drawn on Sunday 12 August 2011 at 4pm at the Canberra Quilters Inc. Exhibition, Coorong Pavilion, EPIC, Canberra. Results will be published in the Canberra Times on Wednesday 15 August 2012.

If you would like to purchase tickets, they are $1.00 each (or book of 10 tickets for $10.00). Tickets are available at our Thursday evening monthly meetings. Alternatively you may forward your cheque or money order and a self-addressed and stamped envelope to:

NB: if a self-addressed and stamped envelope is not included, only 9 tickets will be issued and the remaining $1 will be held for postage/envelope.

Annual Exhibitions

Exhibition 2011:

The 2011 Canberra Quilters Inc. Exhibition was on 11 to 14 August at Exhibition Park in Canberra, as part of the Craft and Quilt Fair.

The Garden at Giverny based on a design by Kaffe Fassett, made by Canberra Quilter Kath Hunt This year's Raffle prizes are as follows:
  • The Garden at Giverny (Queen size quilt) based on a design by Kaffe Fassett, made by Canberra Quilter Kath Hunt, valued at $2000.
  • Bernina B 330 sewing machine, valued at $1499.
  • 'Tru Blu'Quilting Frame from Brindabella Quilting Systems, valued at $1295.

Travelling Exhibition

Canberra Quilters offers a Travelling Exhibition to quilting groups around Australia. The Travelling Exhibition is made up of the Challenge Quilts from the Exhibition and as a result changes each year.

There is no charge, but transport costs are shared between your organisation and ours.

Celebration Quilts 2001

Canberra Quilters Inc. arranged many activities which helped celebrate the Centenary of the Federation of Australia in the year 2001.

One of the highlights was the "Celebration Quilts 2001" exhibition. Visit an on-line version of the "Celebration Quilts 2001" exhibtion!
