Daytime Meetings
Daytime meetings are held at Cook:
- Wonderful Wednesdays Meetings: are on the third Wednesday of each month from February to November, from 9.30am. They are at the Hall at the Cook Community Hub, Templeton Street, Cook, (see map below).
- Friendly Friday Meetings: are held at our premises in the Cook Community Hub, Templeton Street, Cook, (see map below). From 10am to 2pm on the forth Friday of the month (except April and December in 2011).
Bring along something you are working on - morning tea is available and show and tell is always a feature.
Evening Meetings
Evening meetings are held on the first Thursday of each month except January at 7.15pm for a 7.45pm start. They are in the Hall at the Cook Community Hub, Templeton Street, Cook, (see map below).
Various activities take place, including guest speakers, demonstrations, slide shows and always an extensive show and tell of recent work.
The extensive members' library is open and supper is also provided.
Drop In Sessions
Drop In Sessions are held at Cook:
- Wednesday: Between from 10.00am and 4.00pm, at our premises in the Cook Community Hub, Templeton Street, Cook, (see map below).
NB - From February 2011, the 2nd Wenesday of the month morning drop in will be a "Row by Row" meeting, hosted by Karin Malmberg and Joanne West.
- Friday: The 1st, 3rd and 4th Fridays between 10am and 4pm. The 2nd Fridays between 1pm and 4pm. Again, these are held at our premises in the Cook Community Hub, Templeton Street, Cook, (see map below).
NB - More times will become available as more membes volunteer, as we need someone present when our space is being used to open and lock up.
Art Quilters Canberra Meetings
The Art Quilters Canberra group meets every month, on the second Saturday at our premises in Cook from 12 midday.
These meetings have:
Show and Tell, discussions on experimenting with new techniques, reviews of new books, and information about current exhibitions and future workshops.
We welcome new members!
Quilts for Others Meetings
The Quilts for Others group meets every month, on the second Tuesday, at our premises in Cook from 10am to 2.30pm.
These meetings are a monthly working bee to piece, quilt and pin and enjoy each other's company. This enables quilts for those in need in the community to be supported on a continuing basis.
Bring your sewing notions and your lunch, morning tea is provided.
We welcome new members!
Creative Clothing Meetings
The Creative Clothing group meets on the first Saturday of the month, at our premises in Cook from 10.30am to 4pm.
These meetings are an opportunity for members with a common interest in creative clothing to get together.
We welcome new members!
Committee Meetings
The Committe Meetings and Sub-Committee meetings are at our premises in Cook.
- Committee: Last Thursday evening of the month.
- Exhibition Sub-Committee: Third Tuesday evening of the month.

How to Get There:
The Hub is very easy to find:
Coming by car from North Canberra/Belconnen Way –
turn right into Redfern Street from Bindubi Street, then left into Lyttleton Crescent and right into
Templeton Street.
Coming from South Canberra/William Hovell Drive –turn left into Lyttleton Crescent from Bindubi
Street and then left into Templeton Street.
By bus – The bus stop outside the Hub is serviced by the No.10 bus route, which runs between Belconnen Interchange and Civic and beyond and provides a half-hourly service. Route No. 73 also services the Cook location.
